Are you trusting Christ and his work of attonement on the cross for your sins? This is pure grace and our faith is the gift of God to us, not as a result of works.(from Eph. 2) We are utterly dependent upon Him... in Him we live and move and have our being. My afflictions often remind me of my complete dependence on God... His strength is made perfect in my weakness.

This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your Word has revived me...Before I was afflicted, I went astray but now I keep Your Word. You are good and do good; teach me Your statutes. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. (from Ps. 119)

Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me; for I am afflicted and needy...Preserve my soul...O You my God, save Your servant, who trusts in You. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to You I cry all day long. Make glad the soul of Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. For You, O Lord are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and give heed to the voice of my supplications! In the day of my trouble, I shall call upon You, for You will answer me. There is no one like You among the gods, nor are there any works like Yours....... You, O Lord, have helped and comforted me. (from Ps. 86)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ...... For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God, Who raises the dead; Who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on Whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks maybe given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many. (from II Cor. 1)

hey fellowsufferer, I make books of hope and scriptures for people who are suffering, it seems to help them have the scriptures right there when they are struggling or down...

We are here on earth for the Lord, and not ourselves, we forget that at times. REally we can be glad that a lot of us are not in the world... Like myself, I am bed ridden, which is not easy, but I am not out there in the bad world... So I do have time to pray more than others, that is a blessing.

Hi Baxter! I got the idea from my dad, who suggested I do one. I also had family members and myself record. Sometimes, when I have a migraine, I'm not supposed to read because it hurts.
It is a sad world, so full of sin and suffering. There is so much comfort in knowing that God is sovereign and all powerful. I am really looking forward to heaven and the new earth!
