You're not alone. Today I felt like my mother was gonna tell me I was being lazy. So after a horrible struggle getting out of bed I vacuumed the whole apartment.

You'll see that we all get fatigued and unable to do even the smallest task. But we have good days. I've had some, though we end up paying for them later on. It just seems to be the trend.

I know what you mean. It's the old 'but you don't look sick'. I have the biggest issue at work where they see me doing things and think that I am fine but don't realize that one hour you can be fine and then an hour later you can be really bad. My Dad is also someone who finds it difficult to understand. If I am having a bad day he will say to me 'go out and do some things and you'll feel better'. He has the old attitude where if you have a medical condition and you are taking medication you should be fine.

Things changed somewhat when there was an article about OI in a magazine and they interviewed the former Yellow Wiggle as that's what he has. Now instead of telling people I have OI I just say that I have what the old yellow wiggle has and people seem to be more understanding.

Just hang in there and know that people are not being ignorant they just don't understand. I think that it would be hard for people to understand unless they have it themselves because even when you have it yourself you don't really understand it either....
