Hi everyone,
I have been diagnosed with POTS within the last year after being told I had labible hypertention, diverticulitis, anxiety, depression, as well as excessive sweating, sleep apnea, Weird feeling throughout my body and of course syncope. I also get dizzy, slurred speech and fogginness. This happened at work and I was sent home due to this. By the way I also have intractable back pain and do take Fentnyl 50 mcg patch. I am very frustrated and my physician is at her whits end and I am becoming quite despondent. Husband is frustrated with the medical community and it doesn't help that I am an RN.
Thanks for letting me vent any feedback is greatly appritiated.

Hi Nadinez and welcome,

I'm not a nurse so can't talk 'med speak' but I've got a lot of your symptoms.

Frustration with the medical community is a common feature on this site and I'm beginning to think that it should be added on as a secondary symptom due to medical ignorance etc, on the problem.

There are some knowledgeable docs out there and the best thing you can do is find one.

I'm in Australia and am assuming you are in the U.S. so can't help you with this.

Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with this. I suggest you put your general location at the bottom of your post -- it doesn't have to be specific, (most of us seem to like our annonymity a bit) but just your state or city would do.

I am located near Columbia, SC and the medical community quite frankly "sucks". They are sending me to Vanderbilt in Tennessee, that is the closest specialist to me. Until now my cardiologist has been treating me. My tilt table test was also positive with drop in BP and Pulse. I am so frustrated

I lived in the Charlotte area for 17 years, just moved here 1 1/2 years ago. Saw every specialist there is in Charlotte. They could not find anything wrong. Said it was in my head, except for the witnessed fainting, sweating, abnormal heart rhythm etc. Thanks for the suggestion though.
