So all day today I havent felt right. I have been coughing here and there and sneezing like crazy. And running a fever. On top of that I am freezing. I am wearing a sweater, sweat pants, two pairs of socks and a covered with a blanket and I am still freezing.. What could be causing this. My whole body feels like I have been hit with a sledge hammer. Every muscle and joint is killing me right now. Even my butt checks hurts. Just everything is hurting. It feels like my whole body is shutting down. I dont know what is going on or what to do. My blood pressure is high again but my pulse rate is really low only 45bmp but my bp is 148/100 which is really high for me. I have taken my medications but its not changing anything. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this tonight. Or how long it might last. I feel like my body is attacking itself. UGH!!!!!!

P.S. My ankles are swelling and my legs are getting red blottches all over them and turning like a purplish color. And bruises are showing up on my lower parts of my legs and I know for a fact I havent hit them or anything to be causing them to bruise like this out of nowhere. They are just popping up.

You need to get yourself to a doctor NOW! While he's checking you for the infection you may well have, get vitamin D and b12 levels checked maybe too?

Long story short, when I get sick EVERYTHING gets worse--and I too get blue spots--but on my tummy.

Is there a walk in clinic you can go to? A GP who will see you on short notice?

misty - how are you feeling today? did you go to doc?

i am lucky, i work from home, so i am exposed to limited people with contagious germs...but my bf shared his cold with me back in may/june. it turned into a 2 week battle with the cold and sinus infection. much much worse i think because the pots made me more susceptible and harder for my body to fight off the germs.

when my bf is sick - he now has to stay way far away from me....lol

Now you're talking my lingo. It took me 6 weeks on levaquin and cipro to get rid of my last garden variety minor UTI from staying too long in a warm (hot) tub.Then weeks on antacid meds for the lack of flora and eating superacidolphilis/flora pills.

My body is NOT taking bugs well at ALL!

Thanks for posting--I was wondering if I was the only one having trouble getting over infections!

I am feeling pretty good tonight actually. Thanks for asking. I dont know what is was lastnight, something brought me to a crashing frenzy. But my body has losen up for the most part and no more fever today my body temp is actually low. I dont know what it was. I will see how tomorrow goes.

2 nights ago i experinced the same thing, or something similar. i was extremly tired so i went to bed early only to wake a few hrs later with every muscle aching and every joint hurting, the fan which i have on in my room made things worse. i already had 3 blankets over me, but could still feel the fans cold air thru them. i wanted so bad to get up and turn it off but i was aching soo much that i couldnt bare to get up, not even to take some aleve. that was the first time that i experinced that. but a few hrs later i was burning up, who knows. . .
