Has anyone ever had a successful fund raiser for dysautonomia? I am seriously thinking about trying to put together something for this Fall and wanted your feedback. Obviously, a 12K run is probably out of the question (as I would like to participate too ) but maybe a dinner at a local fire hall or even just selling something. I know Yankee Candles and Gooseberry Patch have fund raising programs. I would like for it to be more of a local awareness program too though. If we agree on a symbol by then, I could even have t-shirts or other accessories available. All monies would be donated to this site..... Anyone had success with this already or have any ideas? Thanks.....

I am so glad to here you want to help NDRF, they need it so bad. I thought of a swimathon. If you suffer from dysutonomia swimming you can usually do, because the water takes over your blood pressure. I did write a book as I have posted and the proceeds will go to NDRF. Thanks again for your ideas. Go for it Girl!!!1
Craft fairs, coupon book sales, gift basket raffles, online auctions (biddingforgood.com), have a huge garage sale on eBay, cookbooks (think of all the high-salt recipes - good company that puts these together in recent Oprah magazine). Dys. awareness bracelets (like LiveStrong) Got Brain Fog? . . . just some thoughts.
