I have this really odd thing that happens every now and then.

Since it's COMPLETELY wierd squared stuff--and pretty harmless--I figured I'd share it--just for fun! Smiler

I'm watching TV--doing fine--relaxing a bit--then suddenly the insides of my cheeks just start running with excess salava? It's so much it's hard not to slobber like a rabid dog.

Eventually it passes--but now I ask you ~~~

HOW ODD IS THIS ONE!!! <chuckles>

I never told anyone except my hubby about this--it was just TOO bizzarro!!

Then I talked by phone to another group member yesterday who --finally--had the nerve to mention this.

I FREAKED!!!

It was a Richard Dreyfus in Close Encounters moment! After 2 years of dealing with this odd collection of stuff, I now KNEW I had the right mashed potato statue built--LOL as if I'd EVER doubted it.

Anyway, if you don't have this one feel free to laugh--'cause it's pretty harmless--and we did. Big Grin

Besides, it doesn't bother me any more 'cause I now know at least ONE other person in the world has had this patently wierd thing happen too! So it's all good. Smiler

Maybe for laughs we could post our oddest--harmless--symptoms? The ones you SWORE you'd NEVER tell anyone 'cause they'd just lock you up? Eeker

Might be fun.

Anyway, thatnks to ALL of you awesome people for being out there!

Apparently 'average' people make 1 point something litres of saliva a day. So I guess it follows that some of us should make noticeably more.

After I realized this happens to other people too I started paying attention to WHEN it happens. After I eat--and I lie down to deal with the inevitable nausea afterward--is when it happens--my cheeks are just pouring inside my mouth--glands feel sort of funny--feels sort of like the effect you get when you see a dill pickle and first start to bite into one.

I'm now thinking it's like my mouth starts making saliva to eat and doesn't stop afterward for a while. It does go away--in about 30 minutes or so.

I also did research--just for kicks--was a hot day and i couldn't go out so~~~

Third article on a Goggle search for dysautonomia and saliva--
<<Comprised of the antagonistic sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, the ANS controls functions as simple as stimulating saliva production to speeding up heart rate. >>

Tho I haven't personally noticed the dry mouth--except when I wake up without sweats at night--it makes sense to me that if it can go one way it can go the other as well.

Again, this isn't a symptom that is a biggie at all to deal with--it just weirder than teeth on a turkey!
