I'm looking to get another opinion about my condition. Any suggestions of specialists that might be in Iowa or close? I would be willing to go to Chicago, Mayo Rochester, Cleveland Clinic, Vanderbilt. Please share ideas. I would really appreciate it. My current doc seems very "conservative", rarely does testing, is an internal med doc with subspecialty in complementary medicine but I think I really need to see a specialist for dysautonomia. I was diagnosed with NMS many years ago through a consult with EP/Cardio dept at a medical university teaching hospital. They just seem extremely "conservative" and I feel like they "blow me off". No real suggestions outside of drink water, ted hose, try to exercise. Thanks in advance for your input. I REALLY want to feel better if at all possible!

well you have pretty much listed the possiblities, start by trying to get into the closest ones first. try more than one at a time, and take the first avaliable appt, which could be mths away. i live in arkansas but went to mayo, thier appts are usually 3-4 mths out, but vandy is booking into 2009. just start now, the soon the better.

I got an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic that was only 3 weeks out. I actually leave next Thursday and will be there until Tuesday the 26th. Everyone I have talked to says they are wonderful and the docs I am seeing are great. I will let you know how it goes.

What doctor are you seeing at Cleveland Clinic? I have gone there for four years!
