Hello, I wanted to know if anyone has used the Cleveland Clinic's Remote 2nd Opinion Service. My PCP suggested it to me since they are trying their hardest to treat me and get me feeling better, but admit they are not specialists. In fact, my PCP says in the 25 years he has been practicing, he has only seen 2 other patients like me, but they were all able to be controlled with florinef. Basically, I sent in all of my medical records, lab reports, MRI's, CAT Scans, test results, and they review everything and come back with a report on diagnosis and treatment options. It was only $565, but not covered by insurance. However, I look at this expense as worth it since my medical care, even with really good insurance is getting to be astronomical! Has anyone tried this?

We have never used this service from them, but my husband was dxed and had ALOT of his testing done there by Dr. Fouadt in the Syncope Clinic. We where there for two days, the first was meeting with her and the testing and the second was for the results. I would recommend this to anyone. It was the "life" changing moment for my husband.

I made an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic, which was to be private pay. They required a half down deposit, close to $300. I cancelled the appointment the next day because I found someone closer to me, and they kept saying they had to re-do the TTT (which was no fun the first time, and the results were quite clear).
I've been trying since January to get my money back from them. I've called and called, no one will return my calls.
I never saw the doc there...so I can't say anything in that respect. I do want to let people know, though, to give them your money very carefully! Their system is mostly automated, it's nearly impossible to get a live body on the phone, and the institution is so big that one person has no idea what the next one is doing.
Yuck! I should have just made the trip. At least I'd have gotten something for all that money!

I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience yoga. I have never had any financial difficulties with the Cleveland Clinic. I wish I could say that for all the hospitals and clinics I've been to.
I live in Southern California, and decided to go to the Cleveland Clinic for a clinical Dx. My insurance is Medicare, so I encountered no financial problems. I went through 1 and 1/2 days of testing, then a long session with a staff psychologist and a staff cardiologist. They both had a confrence with Dr. Chelimsky, who is the head of the Autonomic studies there.
They then brought me in for the confab. I was "formally" diagnosed with "Generalized Dysautonomia", kept on the meds I was on and sent home.
