Hi Everyone,

I am getting so desperate. My cardiologist said he thinks I have pots. He said there is nothing I can do about it. My general doctor said the same thing. I feel so bad 4-5 days a week. My headaches are the worst. I just don't know what to do.. I have so many symptoms and knowone will help me with them so I started calling around and I found a dr by the name of Svetlana Blitshteyn. Has anyone used her before? I am in Florida and she is in NY but I can't find anyone in my area that will take me without a referral. Is it worth it to go see a doctor so far away? Do you know of a closer dr to Florida that will take me without a refferal? The mayo clinic said it will take many many months to get in so I just have no idea what to do. I have a 2 month old and I am just missing out on so much!

Thanks!

Hey-

Is this doctor in NYC? I live in NYC and have searched for docs but never heard of her..but that doesn't necessarily mean she isn't good!

Hi Kimberley,

I see an autonomic specialist in Pensacola, FL. I don't know if you are anywhere near there, but he is very good. In fact has dysautonomia himself and then returned to medical school to become an autonomic specialist. He is listed in the doctors listing--Charles Thompson.

Good luck.

Just an update on Mayo Jacksonville: a friend with Dys just spent a week there and said there really wasn't anyone who was really knowledgeable in Dysautonomia--she was disappointed.

Vanderbilt can be great, but you can't choose your doctor--they assign the one they think will be best for you. If you're OK with that, fine, if not, you might not get the person you wanted to see--like Robertson.
