Hi everybody,

I've seen two cardiologists since I last posted. One thinks I have POTS and gave me an RX for Florinef b/c he says my case is "mild".

The other cardiologist didn't mention POTS once but thinks there may be something more complex going on due to some of my unusual lab results. I have extreme fatty acid deficiencies and have a very low triglyceride level (29) along with a high LDL which she says should have been lower b/c I was supplementing with Fish Oil at the time. I also have very high pancreatic enzymes. In addition, I have tested as having diabetes (6 hour Glucose Tolerance Test) but never have high blood glucose and I've always had normal A1C's. (She did say my insulin levels were high so I may just be insulin resistant).

She was pivotal in getting my insurance approving my Mayo visit on Monday so she's on my "give a massage gift certificate" list . She said she knew that I needed to go there to get all this figured out. All she had to do was make a few phone calls and a few hours later I was approved.

If course she just may not know anything about POTS and ALL of this stuff is being caused by the nerve damage that "causes" POTS. I could have all the deficiencies due to malabsorption.

Then again, I may have POTS due to diabetic-type neuropathy.

WHO KNOWS!!??? That is why I am thanking God every 10 mins. for the blessing of this cardiologist that felt so strongly about Mayo and went the EXTRA mile to get me there.

I guess my other questions surround this pancreas and deficiency connection. Anyone else have any of these?

Thanks for all the info. I SO appreciate the support.

Amy
