Have any of you tried homopathic doctors, if so, how did it go?

Hi Liora,

I took my son to several homeopathic doctors in desperate search of what was wrong with him. (He was finally diagnosed with POTS 2 years later)
They couldn't find anything "specific", and obviously my son's symptoms were always changing (depending on the day)

Although taking vitamin supplements are good for the body, my son was honest enough to tell me that he never felt any better or noticed any improvement after seeing these doctors for a year.

But this is just our experience.

I have been to a homeopathic doctor, but not for POTS. I went a few years ago for migraines and depression. I tried several homeopathic meds and they seemed to help quite a bit--for the things I mentioned. However, I did finally come to a point where I had to turn to actual medication because the homeopathic remedies were not cutting it any more. Smiler

Hiya

Ive seen a homeopathic doctor for about a year after getting diagnosed with POTs. I found Pulsitilla helped with nausea but then nothing else has helped and sometimes it feels like a total waste of money.

I still go-but mainly because I use it as a therapy session and I just rant and moan and get everything off my chest!

Maybe go for one appointment and see if they can think of anything to help.

I also did it before turning to western medicine. Wound up substantially poorer, and in worse health.

It's helped me a lot. Just make sure you go to someone who is very experienced. They've helped me on several occasions, especially for detoxification, brain fog, infection and yeast. I think a lot of us are just as ill from all the meds we've been on.

I second what Deb K said--make SURE you have an experienced trustworthy person. I have used it all my life with no problems, but I moved and the new person really messed me up. Choose carefully!

My POTS symptoms have improved drastically. The holistic person I see has had me on several programs that have helped so much. No more brain fog, my allergies have improved so much, neuropathy has improved. I was on 19 medications at one time. Now I take synthroid (no thyroid), once in a while neurontin and cortef in the summer. I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes at one time. Now I can stand for more than an hour as long as I'm moving a little. Migraines have improved, GI symptoms are improving. Find a person with a good reputation in your area. Good luck!
