I was watching the DVD series of "Californication (it's pretty out there sexually so I wouldn't recommend it for everyone). But David Duchovney (I can't think of the series, but he starred in that series with Gillian Anderson and it was about 'aliens' and there being 'something out there' -- having a brain fog moment)...anyway, David Duchovney plays writer Hank Moody and in a scene is talking to his daughter.

She says: "She's an emotional one, that one." (in reference to her mother).

And he says: "All the good ones are." Smiler

I felt much better about being emotional. I really needed to hear that as I feel that I've been letting my emotions spill out all over the place and it's been embarrasing for me (I was bought up to not tell anything private to anyone -- believe it or not, LOL) but now I'm looking at being emotional as being a very good thing. I'll take validation of some of my feelings from tv if it gives it.

There's another favourite line from a book I read years ago about a woman with an illness that I had been mis-diagnosed with. I think it probably applies to us all. I can't find the book at the moment so I can't quote her exactly but she more or less writes about how we're like porsches. we stall, stop, and need to be repaired over and over, but when we're running well we are the best there is -- or words to that effect. She put it much better.

Funny that I opened this thread. I am a huge David Duchovny fan. That series he was in is called X Files. A second movie came out last month on my birthday.

Thanks Chris,

If you hadn't told me the name of the show I don't think I was ever going to remember. I used to know the name well but for the life of me could not think of it now.
