wanted to know what makes you feel better/worse
1. i can eat oatmeal for breakfast but must eat small amounts- add cheese for protein- cereal is out because it has added sugar- added sugars/corn syrup/fructose gives me weakslow motion feelings
2. turkey with veggies for lunch and dinner are good with salad- if i eat white bread with peanut butter/jeely i get weak slow motion feeling
3. if i drink juice it must be no sugar added- also icees /gatorade gove me weak slow feeling
4. for snack i eat chips/pretzels- new granola bars with proteion are out and fruit bars because they also give me this slow weak feeling

i was wondering if anyone tried tube feeds/liquid diets to control symptoms- eating makes me feel so sick- weak, dizzy, vomiting where i cannot even walk after eating- only time makes it better- if i dont eat- i must eat small stuff very hour or my sugar crashes and then oi get weak, vomit

does anyone else get this- what do you do

Hi Sue,

I have gastroparesis, so I have many of your symptoms. I have a picc line now for hydration but in 2-3 months will be getting a feeding tube. Gastroparesis is a slow emptying of the stomach. So I feel full after a couple bites. Today I ate a little, but prior to that I haven't eaten for 4 days. Dairy is a big issue for me, I can't have much. I can't drink Ensure because the fat content bothers me. Anything fatty or with lots of fiber are out. You can go to www.gicare.com to view a sample gastroparesis diet. It's in three steps so you can gauge what to eat by how you're feeling.

Hope you feel better.
michelle
