Hi all. Although I am improving, the new symptoms never truly seem to stop. When I look over either shoulder for any length of time I immediately get tunnel vision accompanied by other pre-syncope symptoms. The last two times I have lost consciousness is because I was looking over my shoulder. Anyone else have this? My docs are at a loss for an explanation.

Throwing it out there. Thanks
GoArmy

I get it too...esp after I stand up from sitting for a length of time...it feels like there is so much pressure in my head when I turn it that my head will pop! I always figured it was just the blood pumping.

I just get pain - neck problems and all.

Do you think that somehow an artery or nerves could be getting compressed when you turn your head?

Yes, this happens to me. I first noticed it a couple of years ago when I was turning around suddenly to answer my son. Got the tunnel vision and very lightheaded. Not sure why but I remember a theory somewhere that it had something to do with pressure on the vagal nerve (which runs from the base of the brain down the spine)???

Good Morning!!

This has happened to me for many YEARS!! Every time I turn my head too fast, bend down and get up too fast, or turn my head to answer a question -- I get a BIG BAD headache, feel lightheaded, dizzy and sick to my stomach! What I found helps me is, try to lie down as soon as possible, put an ice pack on my head, and take the super powerful meds. I was given just for these episodes!! Good Luck and hope you feel better soon!!

Yes, I get this one too. I'm seeing an osteopath for my POTS (among others) and he believes, as strange_wings mentioned, that there is nerve compression (as well as blood flow/spinal fluid interuption)in my neck and that is what causes the tunnel vision sensation. If I stand still and stare straight down at the ground, it usually subsides for me.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll talk to my docs again about that possibility. As irritating as it is, at least I'm not the only one! :P
