Hi Raymond I don't have experience with the symptoms you are describing but I have heard that Roy Freeman is a good doctor to see for autonomic issues. The other neurologist in the state who deals with this is Peter Novak at UMASS Worcester. Are you in MA?

Actually I live in Rhode Island. Been referred to a Doc at Beth Israel- rheumy such a referral may prompt a visit to an autonomist?

I'm not sure what the wait is to see Dr. Freeman these days. When I made an appointment a while ago it was a 6 month wait and that was really to see his colleague/fellow - then I guess maybe to meet with him too. At the time I was able to get in with Dr. Novak much sooner so I cancelled my appt with Dr. Freeman. If you do a search on "Freeman" you'll find some posts about him on here. Good luck.

At night I notice my eyes get blood shot and when I lay down at night I feel like all the blood is rushing to my head. My head will start pulsating and can feel my heart beat in my temples. It just feels like a lot of pressure. I am not sure if it is something to do with dsyautonomia or not, but assume with all our other funky symptoms this could be one of them. Never know but worth getting looked into.

Hi Raymond,
I get 'head bursting' sensations and they are often related to lying down (although with my head up on pillows). I do often get facial swelling -- when I wake up somedays my face can be quite swollen and it will take hours to 'drain' or whatever. Other days I wake up with my 'normal' face.
