So I just got back from a trip with my husband and daughter and was all excited to post about my time when I saw that this section of the website is now up - perfect timing!!!!

Anyway, I have been doing better lately (still not normal!) and my husband and I decided to go to Vermont for xmas this year. Last year at this time is when I had my hysterectomy and all of these dysautonomia symptoms started - so we just had crappy memories and wanted to start new ones. So anyway, we went away and I actually went out on the mountain 2 days! In my past life I snowboarded a lot...I really wasn't sure if I would be able to do it now. But I did!!! Compression hose (which helped keep me warmer Smiler and lots of gatorade of course, but I was so thrilled and wanted to share the news.

Of course we ended up coming home a night early from vaca to bring our daughter to the ER because she could not stop vomiting. And then I spent all day yesterday in the ER for the same reason and my husband was there today....so I still feel like crap but hopefully will be better tomorrow.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! So happy to hear that you and your family were able to enjoy your Christmas and make new memories. It must of felt good to get onto the mountain for 2 days. We live within on mile of the Blue Knob Ski Resort in PA and I have NEVER set foot on the mountain.

Hope you and your family all feel better soon and get ride of the flu bug.

Happy New Year. Cool

Thanks so much, Suzq777. I am inspired to hear of your success. Just curious. What compression weight are your hose? Knee high, thigh high, or waist high?

I'm noticing an improvement with compression hose. I'm using 15/20 for thigh high, and then putting 20/30 knee highs over the top. Don't feel comfortable with much compression all the way up my leg, but, I can difinitely tell a difference doing it this way.

I use 30/40 compression thigh highs. I used to use 20/30 and when I jumped to 30/40 the person who sold them said some people hated them...I called her as soon as I got them on and told her I was in love! I like the support it gives me...I really feel a difference with it. I don't love them in the summer though...

I have trouble with the thigh highs cutting into my thigh and leaving welts (this is with just 15/20 compression.) I'm using 20/30 in knee highs over the thigh highs.

Would use the panty hose, but they make acid reflux work. Thought about maybe using the maternity panty hose, might be loose enough at the waist. Also, my legs "go to sleep" easily, so was afraid of too much compression.

I'm so glad that you got to go snow boarding, and I hope that you are over the flu and feeling better. Thanks for sharing.
